A Salina man was seriously injured when he stepped out of a moving pickup late Tuesday night.
Lt. Scott Siemsen of the Salina Police Department said 24-year-old Joshua Svendblad opened the door of the pickup in the 300 block of S. 11th just after 11:30p.m. and fell to the pavement.
It’s possible that alcohol may have played a factor in the decision of Svendblad to step out of the pickup.
Sevndblad was taken to Salina Regional Health Center with serious injuries, including a skull fracture.
The pickup was driven by 23-year-old Kaitlin Wilson of Salina, and was traveling about 30-miles per hour when Sevndblad stepped out of the pickup.
