Salina Police will have extra officers out on the streets late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning looking for drivers that may have had too much to drink to ring in the new year.
Lt. Russ Lamer said four additional officers along with a supervisor will be out between 11:00p.m. and 3:00a.m. looking for drivers under the influence.
The Impaired Driver Deterrence Program saturation patrol is funded with money administered by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
