Global Spectrum, operators of the Salina Bicentennial Center, has named Ron Rideout the venue’s new General Manager, effective immediately. Rideout will oversee booking, day to day operations and tap synergies in finance, marketing, sponsorship and promotions from Global Spectrum and other Comcast-Spectacor subsidiaries for the 7,500 seat arena and Heritage Hall.
Rideout comes to the Bicentennial Center after almost four years as Assistant General Manager at the CFE Arena on the campus of the University of Central Florida. There, he served as a primary booking contact, supervised eleven full time employees and assisted the General Manager in the day to day operations of the 10,000 seat arena and attached theater. As Assistant General Manager, CFE Arena was named a “Top Stop” in the state of Florida by Venues Today for top ticket selling facilities in the 5,001 – 10,000 seat category three years in a row.
“Ron brings a tremendous amount of experience to Salina and we look forward to continuing to provide the region with top-notch entertainment and our high level of customer service,” said Global Spectrum Chief Operating Officer John Page.

The City of Salina hired Global Spectrum to manage the Bicentennial Center in March of 2012. Since, the Philadelphia, PA based company has hit targeted operational budgets for 2012 and 2013.
Rideout’s career also includes positions with Global Spectrum as Director of Operations at Colonial Life Arena located on the campus of the University of South Carolina as well as Operations Supervisor at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA. He was a 2005 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a major in Sport Management and Marketing minor. He is relocating to Salina from Orlando, FL with his wife Ann and their two sons Cooper and Jackson.
