A two-vehicle accident near St. Johns claimed the life of a Barton County man shortly after noon on Saturday.<p> </p>
A Silver Dodge Nitro failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a Cadillac Escalade, pulling a large trailer. The driver of the Escalade was killed. A passenger in the Escalade and the driver of the Nitro were transported to the hospital. Details about their injuries have not been released.
Names of the individuals in the accident are not being released until next of kin has been notified.
