Businesses cited for selling alcohol to underage buyers

we cardFour Salina businesses and their employees cited for selling alcohol to underage buyers Saturday.

Two agents with Kansas Alcohol Enforcement, Two Saline County deputies, and two 18-year-old males went to 14 businesses in Saline County to check if they would sell alcohol to minors.

The following businesses and employees were cited:

Tucson’s Steak House and 44-year-old Dawn Lewman for selling beer to both teens.

Knuckleheads Tavern 111 E. Pacific and 55-year-old Kathryn Erickson for selling beer to both teens.

T & R Liquor 153 S. Broadway and 58-year old Teresa Merchant for selling whiskey to both teens.

East Crawford Wine and Spirits 2109 E. Crawford and 37-year-old Todd Wedgewood for selling whiskey to both teens.

Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said the ID’s for both teens were checked at all locations by the clerks,and they were still sold the alcohol.
