The more than ten inches of snow in Salina since early Tuesday morning, and with more coming down is causing problems on Interstate 70 and Interstate I-135.

Just before 2pm Tuesday afternoon, the I-70 Westbound ramp carrying traffic on to southbound I-135 was temporarily closed due to a jack-knifed semi on the ramp.

Eastbound I-70 off ramp at 9th St. milepost (252) at Salina was also partially blocked.

The Kansas Highway Patrol and Kansas Department of Transportation asked that everyone who does not need to be out driving is strongly encouraged to remain home/indoors through the remainder of the snow storm.

The pictures are from the Kansas Highway Patrol and the view of a Salina neighborhood is from Jerry Hinrikus.
