Minor injuries in crash Saturday morning

car accident 3Just minor injuries in a two vehicle crash late Saturday morning near the 9th and Crawford intersection.

A Salina Police accident report indicates that just after 11a.m.,44-year-old Cameron May of Salina was southbound in a sport utility vehicle when he took his eyes off the road to reach down for a cigarette or pack of cigarettes, and the SUV drifted left of center and struck a northbound car driven by 60-year-old Claudia Marshall of Salina. The impact spun the SUV around into the curb where it rolled onto it’s top and struck a car parked in the driveway at 675 S. 9th.

May refused medical treatment at the scene, but did go to the emergency room later. Marshall was taken to Salina Regional Health Center , treated and released.
