Salina Crime Log March 11th

crime reportA handgun is stolen and a TV damaged in a residential burglary Monday morning. James Cairns reports that between 7:30-9:00a.m. someone forced open the from door to his home in the 800 block of Otto and ransacked the house . A 36-inch TV was damaged and a Colt Delta Golden Cup 10mm handgun with a fully loaded magazine was taken. Loss and damage is estimated at $1,600.

A Salina woman reports the theft of a gold chain necklace with a 1.1 karat diamond. Alexandra McLean tells police the necklace was taken from her home in the 2100 block of Falcon View between August 1st and December 20th of last year. The theft was reported to police Monday. Value of the necklace is listed at $8,600.

An 18-foot long flat-bed trailer has been stolen. Michael Holmgren said the metal black in color car-hauling trailer was parked behind a shed at 615 Bishop. The trailer was taken between March 7th and March 10th. The trailer has horseshoes welded to the side. The trailer had Kansas license plate 779-ECL. Value of the trailer is estimated at $1,900.
