A Colorado man is arrested Saturday night, after a Saline County Sheriff’s deputy learned the pickup he was in was stolen.
The deputy was sent to a former convenience store location on N. Hedville Road just before 11p.m., on the report of a possible driver under the influence driving a white Ford Ranger pickup. The deputy ran a check on the pickup with Oklahoma license plates and found out the truck was stolen. The driver told the deputy that he had pulled off the road because he was tired.
The driver of the truck 23-year-old Preston Johnson of Aurora, Colorado allegedly stole the truck along with eight chain saws, a laptop computer, and $50 cash from a business in Spavinaw, Oklahoma.
Johnson was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of possession of stolen property. He could also face burglary charges in Delaware County Oklahoma.
