Hedville Road from the Ottawa County Line south 1.4 miles was closed Thursday morning to permit a crew from APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Division to place an asphalt overlay.

It is anticipated that all construction activity will be completed by the end of the Friday, May 16th, and Hedville Road reopened to traffic. Of course, completion of the project by this date is dependent on the weather.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private properties within the closed section of Hedville Road at all times but only from the side of the moving work zone that their properties lies upon.
