The Salina Police Department is investigating a theft of jewelry and a GPS unit from a home in 700 block of Osage between April 20th, and May 12th.

Taken from the home of Patricia and Miles Baldwin were a yellow gold engagement ring, gold bracelet with diamonds, and a pair of diamond earrings. The GPS system was taken from the trunk of their car.

Police are looking at known suspects. Loss is estimated at $7,200.

A traffic stop late Monday night leads to the arrest of a Lincoln County man on charges of possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, obstruction, and improper driving.

27-year-old Ryan Barlett of Beverly was stopped by a Saline County Sheriff’s deputy around 11pm Monday evening at milepost 249 on I-70 for improper driving. A K-9 unit hit on the car and found two grams of marijuana wax.

Barlett was arrested and taken to the Saline County Jail.
