A gun that was taken in a burglary of a Salina sporting goods store in the middle part of April, was found in a house where two people were involved in a standoff with police on May 5th.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said the .380 caliber handgun which was taken from Cleve’s Marine and Sporting Goods, was turned over to police after a person turned it over who said it was found at 619 N. 13th where 29-year-old Adam Humphrey and 25-year-old Heather Davis were involved in a four hour standoff with police who were trying to serve warrants on the pair.

Sweeney said a search of the house the day after the stand off did not turn up the gun, but authorities did recover a clip from the gun.

Sweeney said police are working with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and Humphrey and Davis could face federal charges in connection with the gun.

Of the 120 firearms taken in the burglary at Cleve’s, 20-30 still remain missing. There have been several arrest in connection with the guns that have been recovered.
