A 1-year-old boy was taken to Salina Regional Health Center Monday evening, after apparently ingesting sleeping pills of his parents.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said police and EMS were sent to a home in the 700 block of Comanche just after 8:30pm.

Sweeney said the investigation continues as to how the boy was able to get the sleeping pills and how many were taken.
