A line of thunderstorms brought high winds and heavy rains to portions of central Kansas Sunday evening.

Winds of 70 mph were reported west of Westfall in Lincoln County, and winds of 78 mph were reported at the Abilene Airport around 8pm.

Trees were knocked down by the winds southwest of Bennington that blocked a portion of K-18 highway. Also tree limb damage reported southwest of Solomon.

A flood warning was issued for Ellsworth County after 1-2 inches of rain fell in Ellsworth. The public reported 2 1/2 inches of rain fell at Ash Grove in northwest Lincoln County.

When the storms moved through Salina, wind gust of around 40 mph and heavy rain was reported.

A brief Tornado did cause some power line damage and tree damage west of Courtland in Republic County late Sunday afternoon.

Nearly 4-inches of rain was reported in Osborne County.

More thunderstorms, some which could be severe are possible Tuesday across parts of Kansas.
