Power is out for a central part of Salina today due to last night’s storm. Over 2800 customers in Salina were still without power as of 11 a.m and 14,000 Westar customers were without power.

The Starbucks, Taco Bell, Central Mall and the Coyote Canyon without power.

A supervisor at Starbucks stated that Westar indicated that power wouldn’t be restored until 8am Friday morning.

The stop light at the intersection of 9th and Saturn Ave is out also. Drivers will need to take extra precautions when crossing this intersection.
