Two people were arrested early Thursday morning with a car filled with items they had stolen from a house in north Salina.

Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck said a neighbor called police just a little after midnight to report a suspicious car in the alley behind a vacant house in the 200 block of N Front.

Officers arrived and found 39-year-old Brad Bates, and 32-year-old Angela Rogers in the car filled with tools, musical instruments and jewelry taken from the house owned by Donald Ratzlaff.

Entry to the house was gained by prying open a window.

Trocheck said there was so many items in the trunk of the Buick Park Avenue, that the lid would not close.

Value of the property taken was estimated at $1,025.

Bates and Rogers were arrested on requested charges of burglary and theft.
