Downtown restaurants aim to expand onto sidewalk

The Salina City Commissioners passed the first reading of an ordinance that would allow restaurants to expand onto the sidewalk in downtown Salina. If passed on the second round, restaurants would be able to serve food and alcoholic beverages on the sidewalks in front of their establishments.
