After a lengthy investigation, the I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force arrest a 35-year-old Salina man for methamphetamine distribution.

In a release from Task Force Commander Captain Jim Norton, John S. Windell was arrested Monday in the 400 block of N. Ohio.

Drug Task Force Detectives have been investigating Windell for distributing methamphetamine for the last several months.

During the month of May, The Drug Task Force made several controlled methamphetamine buys. During the investigation, DTF with the use of a confidential informant, purchased more than 50 grams of methamphetamine from Windell.

As a result of this investigation, a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado pickup belonging to Windell was seized for forfeiture, as the pickup was used to distribute drugs within Salina.

Windell was booked into the Saline County Jail, charged with three counts of distribution of methamphetamine. Federal prosecution will be requested regarding this investigation.

No further arrest are expected as a result of this investigation.
