wil40613Mary E. (Reed) Wilson, 85, of Salina, went home to the Lord and her beloved husband Bobby on Friday, June 13, 2014.

Mary was born to Ernest Army and Bessie Crain Reed on June 10, 1929 in London, Arkansas.

Mary met the love of her life Bobby Gene Wilson in London, from the day they met they were never apart, were sweethearts and they were married for 62 years until he went home to the Lord in January of 2010. She is also preceded by her parents Ernest Army and Bessie Crain Reed, and two brothers, Jesse “Jay” Reed and Rufus “Terrel” Reed.

Mary came to Kansas with her husband Bob in the late 1950’s where they settled and began raising their family in Augusta, KS., then relocating to Salina, KS., in November of 1966. She was employed by Beech Aircraft until her retirement in 1991 as a Payroll Clerk. Mary loved to bowl and was an active member of the Salina Women’s Bowling Club for many years, and was a member of the Faith Free Will Baptist Church. Her greatest pleasures in life were being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she loved cooking, baking, reading the Bible and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her three daughters, Sherry Dawn Enderby, Salina and special friend Terry Stout, Bobbie Lea Wilson and fiancé Clide Marsh, Salina, Debra LaJune Palmer and husband Delbert, Salina; four grandchildren, Sarra Reeves and husband Kenny, Tyler Palmer of Lawrence, James Denning and wife Rhian of Wichita, Dallas Albertsen and husband Eli of Wichita; eight great grandchildren, Keegan Reeves, Ashleigh Reeves, Brooke Keller, Kamron Reeves, Emaley Reeves, Holden Denning, Zsuzsanna Albertsen, William Albertsen, and honorary family members Brad Keller and also Brandy Marrs and her children Kylie Ladwig and Tori Hickman, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Ryan Mortuary from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving condolences from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11 a.m.. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 611 Willis, Salina, KS., with Pastor Tim Stringer officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Salina. Reception to follow at the church.
