A traffic stop around 1:30a.m. Thursday morning leads to the arrest of a man on drug charges, and a woman for outstanding warrants.

Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck said the traffic stop took place near the intersection of Broadway and Crawford.

Police found in the car, 3.1 grams of methamphetamine,drug paraphernalia,and a handgun. 49-year-old Sukina Jefferson of Salina was arrested on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, no tax stamp, and criminal possession of a firearm.

A passenger in the car, 29-year-old Heather Urbanek, also of Salina was arrested for outstanding warrants.
