The Drive for Five campaign announces its fall kickoff celebration at Campbell Plaza in Downtown Salina Thursday, September 4, from 5-6:30 p.m.

Drive for Five will synchronize with Salina’s monthly First Thursday Art Rush, offering a drop-in “come and go” event featuring free pizza, musical entertainment, and open mic for exchange of ideas to improve all government, but especially that in Saline County.

Music will be provided by the locally-known and widely-acclaimed Mattson and Weaver guitar duo. County Commission candidates Stephanie Cool and Monte Shadwick have been invited to speak. Other notable speakers will make brief remarks. T-shirts and buttons are available and donations are appreciated.
