Salina Area Young Professionals and the Greater Salina Community Foundation have partnered to provide an avenue for citizens to get involved and give back to local charities while having fun!

The Party with a Purpose on Friday September 19th, is an opportunity for individuals from the community to showcase their charitable and community-oriented spirit. It is a chance to establish an event that benefits an organization selected by SAYP members while also allowing an opportunity for other charities to receive benefit through some good natured competition.

There will be a Silent Auction with great packages available to bid on and also a 50/50 raffle throughout the
night. All of the proceeds from those two activities will benefit the Circles of the Heartland organization!

Circles of the Heartland takes a transformational approach to poverty by assisting individuals and families in
moving to financial stability. Community volunteers assist and support each family in setting and achieving
goals unique to their own needs.

In addition, there will be the annual the Paper, Rock, Scissors Tournament! It is emceed by Matt Davis of Third
Strategy and it is a fun, competitive way to try to win a $500 grant to a charity of your choice! Last year’s Paper,
Rock, Scissors Champion chose the Ambucs organization for the donation! This is a great way to get a group
together, have fun and compete for a $500 grant from the Greater Salina Community Foundation!

The food and drinks are on us and we hope the public will join us September 19, 2014 from 7:00pm – 9:30pm at the Salina Art Center to support The Circles of Heartland organization and have some fun doing it!
