Officials believe that arson is the cause of a fire that destroyed a 2000 Lincoln late Saturday night southwest of Salina. Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says deputies were sent to the 2200 block of S. Lightville road just before midnight to a report of a car on fire. The car was fully engulfed in fire when the deputy and Saline County Rural Fire District #3 arrived.

The car belonged to a 25 year old woman from Wichita, who said the last time she had seen the car, it was parked in her driveway at her home late Saturday afternoon.

Loss is estimated at $17,000.
