Delmar L. Bonham, 95, of Salina, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014. He was born March 6, 1919, in Corwin, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Mears) Bonham. Delmar worked as a maintenance engineer for 20 years at Kansas Wesleyan University and 10 years at the City-County Building.
He was an avid sports fan, attending games at Sacred Heart, Kansas Wesleyan, Kansas State, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.
Delmar was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, in 2008, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three sons, David, of Olathe, Jerome, of Fairfield, Iowa, and Daniel, of Salina; four daughters, Camilla (Brent) Hamilton, of Shawnee, Teresa Forbes, of Dallas, Cecilia (Gary) Aslin, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Cynthia Bonham, of Salina; one sister, Velda; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, with vigil service at 6 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, with burial to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
