SALINA -Eagle Communications, Inc. of Salina announces the promotion of Lonnie Smith to General Manager. He succeeds Jerry Hinrikus, who will continue his role as Coffee Talk host on KINA.
Smith began his broadcast career while attending high school in his home state of New Mexico. In 1990, he moved to Salina to accept an on-air position at KSKG. In 2006 he moved to the position as account executive and has been very instrumental in the growth of the Salina Post digital product. Lonnie also served as sales manager in Salina prior to his promotion.

Lonnie has been successful building our digital products and combining the power of our radio stations with online options to better connect our customers and listeners.
We are also pleased that Jerry (Hinrikus) is continuing as host of Coffee Talk. The change will allow him more time to be with his family and still be connected to the community.”
