
A 42 year old man and a 38 year woman arrested Saturday during a traffic stop and charged with burglary/theft/false writing in connection with a residential burglary March 30th in east Salina.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney says Ramon Austin and Belinda Davis were connected to the burglary of 1124 Louise Lane on March 30th after they had sold some jewelry at a pawn shop that had been taken in the burglary. Also the owner of the home who saw Austin leaving his backyard was able to pick him out of a picture lineup.
In addition to the jewelry a 45/410 revolver , police scanner, dvd’s a 32 inch flat screen TV and other electronics were taken in the burglary. Value of all the stolen property was placed at just over $6,000 .Captain Sweeney says some of the property was recovered in a room at the Village Inn at 453 Broadway during a search following the arrest of Austin and Davis.
