A Dickinson County man is indicted on wire fraud charges by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
According to a news release 49-year-old Dean L. Johns of Abilene, is charged with one count of wire fraud in connection with fraudulent unemployment benefit claims totaling $11,856. The crime is alleged to have occurred from March 2, 2013, to Aug. 24, 2013.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. The Department of Labor investigated.
