Roland Ohrenberg, 78, formerly of Minneapolis, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015. He was born March 21, 1936 in Concordia, Missouri to Alwin and Anna Ohrenberg (Buesing). On May 16, 1959, he married Martha Lucille Collett.
Roland taught history for over 30 years at DeSoto High School before retiring in 1994. He also served his Lord Jesus Christ at Lawrence Heights Christian Church for many years as an elder and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; son Gregory and wife Rondalyn of Luganville, Santo, Vanuatu; daughter, Melinda Bainter and husband David, Manhattan; son,
Mark and wife Holly, Owasso, Oklahoma; son, Carl and wife Nicole, Flowery Branch, Georgia; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Salina Heights Christian Church, Salina, where there will be a reception following the service.
Graveside services and burial will be Monday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Cemetery, near Concordia, Missouri.
