The Royals play their fourth extra inning game of the young season and come up short, losing 4-3 in 10 innings to Minnesota.

Danny Valencia hit a bases-loaded single with one out for the game winner. The Twins bullpen was perfect in final three innings after the Royals tied the game in the seventh. Robinson Tejada takes the loss for Kansas City, giving up three singles and a walk.

Starter Jeff Francis allowed three runs on eight hits over seven innings for his third no-decision of the season. Kyle Davies goes this afternoon for the Royals in the series finale.
