Police were sent to a disturbance Sunday evening where a handgun was pointed at a man.

Captain Mike Sweeney said 35-year-old Sean M. Gjertson of Mariposa, California is alleged to have pointed the small .22 caliber handgun at 39-year-old Sedric Buchanan, when he opened the door to his home in the 900 block of N. 13th around 10p.m.

Buchanan closed the door, and Gjertson kicked in the door and the two began fighting.

Gjertson had gone to get a washing machine.

Gjertson faces charges that include aggravated assault,carrying concealed weapon, criminal trespassing, and criminal damage to property.
