A car that appeared to have been deliberately set on fire early Tuesday morning is considered a total loss.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said a little after 3 a.m., Angela Matuza found her 2008 Ford Edge on fire in the driveway.

When Salina firefighters arrived they found the rear half of the car fully engulfed in fire.

The fire is being investigated as an arson. Loss is estimated at $4,000.
