Salina Crime Log May 4th

crimereportA Salina man reports his car was damaged while parked at the Bicentennial Center . Richard Cunningham said some scratched letters onto the hood and driver’s door of his 2008 Mercury Sable between 6:15p.m., and 9:45p.m Friday. Damage is estimated at $1,200.

A rural Salina man reports the theft of a utility vehicle parked at his home in the 200 block of S. Simpson Road. Shawn Heard tells the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, the 2006 Polaris was taken between April 27th, and May 1st from the side yard of his home. It had been chained up with another utility vehicle which was not operable. The padlock which was used to keep the vehicles chained together was missing. Loss is estimated at just over $3000.

A motorcycle was taken from a fenced area of a south Salina business. Tractor Supply Company of 3121 Riffel Drive reports a cammo colored Baja Warrior 200-cc Motorcycle was taken between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. A padlock was cut to gain entrance to the fenced area. Loss and damage estimated at $720.
