YES! It was Windy Friday Across Sunflower State

From The National Weather Service In Wichita

A low pressure system strengthened as it emerged from the Southern Rockies and moved across the Kansas Region late Thursday through Friday night. On the back side of the storm system, very strong Northwesterly winds developed from West to East across Kansas from late Thursday night through Friday night. Wind gusts of 58 to 67 mph were recorded across much of Central and South Central Kansas. Some structural damage reports, downed large tree limbs, and numerous power outages occurred in association with the strong wind gusts.
