Cloud Cloud Community College Offers Drone Flying Classes

Cloud_County_Community_College_logo(CONCORDIA) – Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) are in all the national news media. Cloud County Community College is offering non-credit classes in June, 2015.  If you want to learn more about this cutting edge technology and how you can benefit from it in the future, don’t miss this opportunity to experience drones first hand.  This course will guide you through the basics of: Software configuration, pre-flight checklists, onboard systems, operation & maintenance, hands on experience in UAS flight, programmed autonomous flight, capturing still photos & video form a UAS, and where to purchase a UAS for your personal use.

This class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 2nd, 4th, 9th, and 11th from 5:30 – 8:30 pm at the Wind Energy Technology Composite Lab.

This same class will be taught again on Monday and Tuesday, June 15th & 16th from 9:00 – 4:00 pm at the same location.  This composite lab is located between the Holiday Inn and F&A Warehouse, Concordia, KS.

The Instructor for this non-credit class will be Monte Poersch, from the Cloud County Community College Wind Energy Technology Program.
