Salina Police are investigating the passing of a counterfeit bill at a local restaurant.
Captain Mike Sweeney tells the Salina Post that a counterfeit $50 bill was passed by someone at Bogey’s, 1417 S. 9th, sometime between 8:00 a.m. and Noon on May 21st.
The bill was discovered in a bank deposit made by the restaurant at Bennington State Bank, 2130 S. Ohio.
Sweeney says the amount of counterfeit bills being passed has increased due to the quality of the printers being used.
