The Kansas City Chiefs are hosting the third-annual Chiefs 5K at Arrowhead Stadium at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 23 to benefit The Children’s Place. New for this year’s event, participants will race through Arrowhead Stadium and will finish inside The University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex indoor field. Along the race route, runners and walkers will run through the Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable and up and down the ramps for the upper concourse. After completing the run through the stadium, participants will make their way towards the 50-yard line of the indoor field at The University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex where they will finish the race. Upon completion, participants will receive a one-of-a-kind Chiefs 5K finisher’s medal. A post-race celebration that includes music, Chiefs Cheerleaders, KC Wolf and special Chiefs guests will take place inside the indoor field. Participants will also receive their 2015 Chiefs 5K t-shirt upon packet pick-up. Chiefs players, including DE Mike DeVito, C Eric Kush, K Cairo Santos, RB Charcandrick West and LS Andrew East will hand out water and provide encouragement along the race route.
