Saline County Food Establishment Inspections May 21-28, 2015

inspectionsFood Establishment Inspections conducted in Saline County by the Kansas Department of Agriculture’s Division of Food Safety and Lodging from May 21 through May 28, 2015.

Kenwood Cove Concessions, 701 W. Kenwood Park Drive (May 26)
– Interior of microwave contains dried-on food debris. Corrected on site: cleaned.

Longhorn Steakhouse, 2590 S. 9th (May 26)
– One flying insect in each of 3 alcohol beverage open bottles at the bar area. Corrected on site: bottles discarded.
– After washing and stacking away as clean on equipment storage racks, at least one dozen metal containers still had food residue left on the containers. Corrected on site: rewashed.
– Two containers of previously cooked rice not cold enough and not stored properly. Corrected on site: discarded by manager.
– One half full open container of chocolate milk in the bar area reach in cooler with no date mark. Corrected on site: discarded by manager.
– Auto dish machine was found to have no detectable sanitizer. Corrected on site: after calling service provider, manager was able to adjust machine to have proper chlorine reading.
– Amber/yellow liquid in spray bottle at grill area had no label or name of contents. Corrected on site: labeled “cooking oil.”

PinoyPotayo Cafe, 1315 S. Santa Fe (May 26)
– No critical violations.

Russell’s Restaurant, 649 Westport (May 26)
– Container of omelet mix vegetables stored uncovered on shelf in walk-in cooler.
