A Salina man who befriended a young teenage girl on Facebook, was arrested Monday on requested charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and criminal sodomy.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said 21-year-old Holdan M. Hartman became friends with the girl in late 2014, and had sexual contact with the girl at least once in south Salina.

Police began their investigation on May 4th after being contacted by the Kansas Department of Children and Families.

Captain Sweeney said the investigation continues to see if Hartman had sexual contact with the girl more than once, or if there might be other victims.

Sweeney cautions parents to be aware of contacts their children make through social media. Sexual predators do make contact with teens and try to become their friends and earn their trust.
