A Salina man was hospitalized early Saturday morning with facial fractures after his face and head were repeatedly shoved into pavement by his roommate.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said two deputies were exchanging information in the 1100 block of State around 2:00 a.m., when they heard a cry for help.
They found 26-year-old Anthony Norwood on top of 49-year-old Leslie Williams.
Norwood had grabbed Williams’ hair and was striking his head on the street.
They separated the two, and EMS transported Williams to Salina Regional Health Center, where he was admitted. Williams was dismissed from the hospital on Sunday.
Norwood was booked into the Saline County Jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
