Man Arrested in Aggravated Kidnapping Incident at Walmart

Officers were sent to Walmart, 2900 S. 9th, just after 4:30 a.m. Friday morning, in reference to an aggravated kidnapping incident.

A 42-year-old female reported she was shopping in the store, when she was accosted by an unknown man at knifepoint. The man attempted to lead her to a restroom. She pulled away from him and screamed. The man then punched her on the side of the face and attempted to the leave the store. He was then confronted by a store manager and the man threatened the manager with the knife. He was seen leaving the area in a white Ford Crown Victoria.

An officer later located a vehicle matching that description in the 1300 block of Crescent Drive. The officers were able to locate the man in a residence in that area and he was taken into custody at 9:44 a.m. At the time of his arrest, he was said to be in possession of personal use methamphetamine.

The man was identified as 31-year-old Jerrid Wayne Logan of Delphos, Kansas. He was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Assault, Battery and Possession of Methamphetamine.
