Cleveland hit five home runs in route to their eighth straight home win, knocking off Kansas City 9-4 to end a 3-game losing streak.
Jack Hannahan homered twice and Shin-Soo Choo hit a 3-run blast in the seventh off reliever Louis Coleman’s first pitch to blow the game open. Royals starter Luke Hochever gave of three of the long balls and falls to 2-3. Cleveland’s Justin Masterson moves to 5-0 with the win. Down 7-3, the Royals loaded the bases with no outs in the eighth but failed to score before pushing one across in the ninth.
