A Salina man is a victim of a scam on Craigslist.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said the 25-year-old man was looking to move from Salina to Galveston Texas, and found an apartment on Craigslist.

The man was contacted by e-mail, and was told to send personal information and wire $460. After the man wired the money, he became suspicious, and contacted the owners of the property. He then learned he had been scammed. Total loss has been estimated at $469.50.
