WESTMORELAND, Kan. (AP) — Police are investigating after they say a Westmoreland man shot two people.
According to a news release from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, the man was arrested early Sunday and faces aggravated battery and attempted second-degree murder charges. Officers responded to two calls around 2:30 a.m., and found the suspect and the two victims outside the suspect’s home.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports the victims had injuries that were not life-threatening.
According to police, the suspect was taken into custody without incident and is being held without bond at the Pottawatomie County Jail.
