A woman comes home Tuesday afternoon to find a stranger sitting on the couch in her living room with his shoes off.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said Luella Garrett arrived at her home in the 700 block of N. 7th just after 3:00 p.m., when she found 30-year-old Maurice Sabba Scott inside.

Scott apparently gained entry to the home through a window.

While inside, Scott is alleged to have emptied a fish tank killing two fish, and emptied two boxes of cereal.

When ask to leave, Scott refused and Garrett called police, who apprehended Scott when he tried to leave.

Scott was booked into jail on charges of aggravated burglary, theft, damage to property, and animal cruelty.
