Introducing Linda and Claude Lecklider, your BANK VI Heroes of the Week!

Linda and Claude have been volunteers with the Tri-Rivers Fair and Rodeo for over 40 years.

They strongly believe in the wonderful things kids learn thru the 4-H program and exhibiting at the fair. They spend time during the whole year organizing and securing all the events that happen during the fair, whether it be scheduling the carnival and food vendors, getting volunteers to check in exhibits, or fundraising for the livestock auction.

Linda is also involved with all open class shows involving non 4-H’ers. Claude says that he is a “jack of all trades” and assists with numerous activities and functions at the fair each year.

Both are at the fairgrounds before the buildings open and long after the parade or demolition derby is over to answer questions for 4-H’ers, parents, vendors and the public.

Those close to them say that Claude and Linda don’t get a lot of sleep during the fair. They put in a large number of hours and work tirelessly to make sure the fair is a success. They have had a tremendous impact over the years helping kids to learn things such how to can tomatoes, shear sheep, sew outfits, host exchange students or any 4-H or fair projects they have been involved with.
