SALINA – A former Saline County Commissioner was injured in an accident just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Randy Duncan, 57, Brookville, was westbound on Interstate 70 at 9th Street in Salina.

The vehicle drifted over to the north edge of the roadway, traveled into the ditch across the entrance ramp and came to rest facing east against a Kansas Department of Transportation fence.

Duncan was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center. There was no immediate information on Duncan’s condition.

He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
