Body Found In Marion County Could Be That of Missing Man

MARION, Kan. (AP) – A central Kansas sheriff says a body found last week in a rural building is believed to be that of a man reported missing in mid-February.

The Salina Journal reports 70-year-old Charles Hilliker, of Marion, was last seen within a couple of miles of where the body was found May 2 in a stone outbuilding near the town.

Marion County Sheriff Robert Craft says the body appears to have been there for a while. An autopsy was planned to determine the identity and cause of death. Craft says there is no indication of foul play. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is looking into the case because it involved an unattended death.
