Firefighters were able to quickly contain a minor garage fire Saturday afternoon.

Salina Fire Captain Brent Burton tells the Salina Post at the scene that crews were called to a residence in the 700 block of Banner Circle just after 1 p.m., after a cooking accident with a turkey fryer started a small fire in a garage attached to the home.

Burton said there was minor damage to the interior of the garage. A lawn mower in the garage also sustained some minor damage.

There were no injuries.
