A bomb threat forced the evacuation and brief closure of a Salina truck stop Tuesday evening.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said that officers were sent to the Petro Stopping Center, 2125 N. 9th, after a telephone call was received by the business at 8:10 p.m.
The automated call indicated that a bomb had been placed inside the business that would explode at anytime.
Sweeney said the truck stop was evacuated and closed for a short time while a search was conducted. No bomb was found.
The business was reopened less than an hour later.
