PEOPLE ARE LOSING IT!

At the end of 4 weeks in our Summer Shape Up, people are looking forward to getting their summer clothes out! Focusing on health and fitness isn’t always easy. But these participants are staying focused on their reason for wanting to be more fit and have worked on staying consistent with their changes. Here are their stories:

SANDY is doing Beachbody’s Insanity workout.  Her primary behavioral change has been to increase her water intake. She has been consistent with this by keeping water on her desk and in her car at all times.   Her most difficult change is getting in regular meals and snacks due to a busy schedule. In the past month, she has lost 12# and says her energy is “through the roof!”

JAMES is pushing the limit with his exercise by combining Beachbody’s Insanity and P90X workouts AND he’s running several times a week.   He’s eating regularly at the same time each day.   He  is also drinking Shakeology. He had basically hit a plateau but his efforts this past month have budged the scale down 5#.  He also commented that he has more energy.

JACKIE was at a long stand still with her weight. She kept her calories at the low end and was exercising 3-4 times a week. To bust through the plateau, she started Beachbody’s Asylum and has stuck with it every day;  she also bumped her calories up to 1500.  It’s difficult to eat more calories when one isn’t losing, but she’s planned in regular meals and snacks and  it’s making a difference.   The accountability to Summer Shape Up has kept her focused on her workouts.   Over the past month, her clothes are looser and her energy is “through the roof.”   Her weight is starting to move in the right direction!

MICHELLE has been determined to wean herself away from the 3-4 diet sodas she was having every day. She started drinking Shakeology which has helped control her cravings for junk food.  After the first week, her cravings were less and she has stayed on track by keeping a food journal and being accountable to the Summer Shape up.  She has lost 6 pounds and has been surprised at the increase in energy.

ANNA has dropped one size this past month by exercising more often, drinking Shakeology and controlling portions. Being accountable to Summer Shape Up has helped as well.  She, too, has noticed an increase in energy.  Seeing a pattern here?

CHRISTY has always been active but added Ten Minute Trainer to her routine for more strength training.  She is planning her meals and snacks and drinking a lot more water.  Her weight loss has been slower but people are commenting that she looks slimmer.  Like everyone else, she has noticed an increase in energy.

The patterns are clear. Eating better, eating regularly, drinking more water, and staying active have made a difference for everyone!  The group has noticed an increase in energy because they are fueling their bodies in a way that enables them to work like our bodies are meant to!  Accountability to the group has kept people focused even during the busy month of May.
